i lost 30 pds on low carb diet and oolong tea in 3wks so i decided to use my cheat day and i over ate and gained back 9pds just from 1day of cheating.How is that possible and will i lose even faster now.And is it good to have a cheat day on low carb Diets
If you gained nine pounds in a single day, it wasn't the food. Did you even EAT nine pounds of food? Do you think that, even if you did, that ALL nine pounds were converted to fat without ANY waste products?
IF your story is even true, it was probably water weight. It may be possible, in fact, likely, of the 30 pounds lost, much of it was water weight in the first place. And, much of the gain back was just additional fluids taken in and retained.
The body WILL retain lost fluids a LOT faster than it can convert an equivilant amount of fat weight.
Just disregard that single day's weight change and measure progress over longer periods. Even week to week fluctuations mean very little. Real progress is measured over longer periods. It takes months and years to put on fat. It takes almost as long to take it off.
